Based on the natural principles of electrical current flowing through the conductor, microwaves is a very popular Kitchen Equipment today.  Electromagnetic radiations that are created are mostly similar to the radiations of sun as well as the radio waves. It is one of those equipments that were not invented for faster and convenient cooking processes. Instead the invention was an accident that occurred when the scientists were trying to invent magnetron. In fact melted chocolate bar and pop corns resulted in such inventions. Next generation microwaves were manufactured for large commercial house uses only and cost in the range of $2000-$3000 each. They were simultaneously used for drying cork, paper, and leather. The first home usable microwave was manufactured by the Tapan Company and the cost was nearly $1295 each unit. Downward slide of the microwave as well as its price continued for far longer periods and today it has become a household article for every small and large families and the cost has come down dramatically.

Despite its huge utility as Catering Equipment home microwave also have its hazards. Danger to which the user is exposed with each push of the button is not realized in most cases. Electromagnetic energy that travels at the speed of light could create health hazards that are not very conducive to health. Yet microwaves have come to stay and have become part of kitchen in majority of the households today.
